Taken from the top of Mariepskop this image shows the edge of the escarpment along which the Ultra and marathon routes run. Imagine a trail in those forests all along the edge. Now come and run it with us at Kruger2Canyon.

A two-day stage trail run taking place from 13-15 July 2018


2018 Entry options include:

  1. Ultra Distance (70km over 2 days)
  2. Marathon Distance (42km over 2 days)
  3. Single Day entries
  4. Spectator Package

Registration 13 July

Stage 1: 14 July – 42km or 25km – Blyde River Canyon and Mariepskop
Stage 2: 15 July – 28km or 17km – Blue Canyon Conservancy (adjacent to Kruger National Park)

Entry Fees:

Option 1: Full Package R2850.00 (Ultra) and R2350.00 (Marathon)

– includes meals from Friday dinner to Sunday brunch, tented accommodation (bring own bedding) and a R400 conservation fee

Option 2: Runner Package R1900.00 (Ultra) and R1400.00 (Marathon)

– includes a R400 conservation fee and excludes food and accommodation

Option 3: 1 Day Runner – R650.00 (Ultra) and R400.00 (Marathon)

Рincludes a R200 conservation fee, excludes garment, trophy, meals and accommodation

– entry for one of either of the days only

Option 4: Full Spectator Package R1200.00

– includes tented accommodation and meals from Friday dinner to Sunday brunch

If you choose either the runner or spectator full package option tented accommodation is included in your package. This consists of a tent and mattress, you are required to bring your own bedding. The tents are large enough to accommodate 2 people comfortably, and we encourage participants to share. However, we are able to supply a single tent per runner where required.

Accommodation and meals can be booked separately at the following rates:

Self-camp accommodation: R150 per person per night (kids under 18 years R90)

Dinner: R135

Lunch: R100

Breakfast: R80

Sunday Brunch: R120

Blue Canyon Conservancy has a number of signature features including these red and white rocky outcrops exposed in among patches of bushveld. The reserve has spectacular scenery and the 2018 route will be new and different to previous years’, with the new venue, Franklyn Park, coming into play.
